This article is about the tool for connecting electric poles. For the intermediate product, see copper cable.
Copper wire is a tool spawned from the shortcut bar that can be used to connect or disconnect power poles. To use the tool, click the "make copper wire" icon on the shortcut bar and then left click two electric poles. This way, complex power systems can be wired, like making steam engines work only when accumulators are empty. Note that the wire is not consumed by this operation.
