Lava is a resource found in Vulcanus. It can be gathered using offshore pump. It can be processed in foundry with molten copper from lava into molten copper, or with molten iron from lava into molten iron.
It can be obtained by placing an offshore pump on a lava lake.
Lava is exclusive to Vulcanus. Since lava cannot be barrelled it cannot be sent to other planets.
