Thrusters are components of space platforms that propel the platforms through space, and to other planets. Thrusters require both thruster fuel and thruster oxidizer to function. Since platforms can only be propelled to the north of the screen, thrusters can only be built on the bottom end of a space platform. Once thrusters are active, asteroids will be encountered more frequently as the platform flies through space, meaning that the player should create proper defenses beforehand, as asteroids can damage things on the platform upon impact.

The more thrusters that are placed on a space platform, the faster it can get to its destination. The player can choose how the thrusters will operate via the space platform hub. Setting the platform to the "automatic" setting will have the thrusters activate when the player selects a destination, while selecting "paused thrust" will turn the thrusters off completely.
