The Battery is an intermediate product used in several key recipes, including the High tech science pack which is required for late-game research, and the flying robot frame, which is required to build logistic and construction robots.
Batteries are also a crucial component of powering your base using solar power because of their use in crafting Accumulators. Batteries are also crucial for defense, as they are needed to make laser turrets, which use electricity instead of ammunition like gun turrets.

- Research overhaul. Battery is no longer required for Science pack 3 and is now required for High tech science pack.
