Quality module 2 increases a machine's ability to make quality items by 2% and decreases its speed by 5%. This means that, at a small cost of items produced per minute, the machine produces slightly more items of higher quality.

A quality module 2 requires a small increase in machine quantity to achieve the same throughput, and will produce few items of a higher quality, but with an increased chance compared to the previous tier of module. A quality module 3 will produce more items of quality, and more of higher quality, for the same decrease in machine speed as the quality module 1.
