Crushing will break the asteroid chunk down into another usable resource with a small chance of also producing the same type of chunk, which can be taken out and re-inserted into the crusher. Reprocessing can be used to convert a chunk into one of the other two types, although this has a chance to output the same type of chunk or to destroy it entirely. Advanced reprocessing produces one extra type of resource compared to standard crushing, and has a much lower chance of producing the original chunk as part of the recipe results.
