Infobox:Laser turret shooting speed (research)
These technologies cause laser turrets to shoot more often, assuming they can collect energy quickly enough. Each shot costs a constant 800kJ; as the turrets shoot faster, they will require more power to operate effectively. Thus, the research raises their power consumption from 1.2MW (no upgrades) to 3.8MW (all upgrades).
This research also boosts the shooting speed of the personal laser defense.
