Recycling unlocks the recycler as well as the ability to recycle scrap. It’s unlocked by breaking the Fulgoran vault ruin, which is usually located near big scrap patches.

Recycling is made available by the Quality mod. If enabled without the Space Age mod, it has different prerequisites and is researched like any other tech, and recyclers can be made on Nauvis.
