What constitutes a "raw" resource can be construed differently between surfaces. Here we interpret it as anything that can be extracted automatically from a natural source. The table below indicates raw resources (in this sense) needed for science packs. Everything assumes no productivity, except on Vulcanus and Gleba where inherent productivity of (respectively) foundries and biochambers are taken into account. "N/A" indicates the pack cannot be made on that surface without imports. "?" for water denotes a variable quantity depending on how much cracking is done.
* Nauvis: iron ore, copper ore, stone, coal, crude oil, uranium ore, water.
** "Crude oil" assumes maximum production from cracking; when heavier oils are consumed in other processes, more crude will be needed.
** Water is not calculated since it depends on how much cracking is needed. It's inexhaustible anyway so it doesn't matter. The only constraint is the throughput of pumps, which is usually not a problem.
* Vulcanus: lava, calcite, sulfuric acid, coal, tungsten ore.
** We additionally count stone as a raw resource since it's a byproduct of molten metal production, meaning it's available essentially for free; usually you have a lot of surplus that just gets thrown away.
* Fulgora: scrap products, heavy oil.
** To calculate production of various products from scrap it is not valid to simply add the figures together. The proper figure is the maximum needed for any intermediate recycling product. We assume all batteries are from scrap.
** Coal cannot be obtained on Fulgora even with synthesis, so there is no entry for military science, which requires coal to make grenades. Other coal products (i.e. plastic, red/blue circuits, LDS) can be obtained from scrap.
* Gleba: stone, jellynut, yumako, water.
* Aquilo: No entry since every pack requires resources you can't get there. Even its own pack requires imports from Fulgora.

"Raw" resources

What constitutes a "raw" resource can be construed differently between surfaces. Here we interpret it as anything that can be extracted automatically from a natural source. The table below indicates raw resources (in this sense) needed for science packs. Everything assumes no productivity, except on Vulcanus and Gleba where inherent productivity of (respectively) foundries and biochambers are taken into account. "N/A" indicates the pack cannot be made on that surface without imports. "?" for water denotes a variable quantity depending on how much cracking is done.

  • Nauvis: iron ore, copper ore, stone, coal, crude oil, uranium ore, water.
    • "Crude oil" assumes maximum production from cracking; when heavier oils are consumed in other processes, more crude will be needed.
    • Water is not calculated since it depends on how much cracking is needed. It's inexhaustible anyway so it doesn't matter. The only constraint is the throughput of pumps, which is usually not a problem.
  • Vulcanus: lava, calcite, sulfuric acid, coal, tungsten ore.
    • We additionally count stone as a raw resource since it's a byproduct of molten metal production, meaning it's available essentially for free; usually you have a lot of surplus that just gets thrown away.
  • Fulgora: scrap products, heavy oil.
    • To calculate production of various products from scrap it is not valid to simply add the figures together. The proper figure is the maximum needed for any intermediate recycling product. We assume all batteries are from scrap.
    • Coal cannot be obtained on Fulgora even with synthesis, so there is no entry for military science, which requires coal to make grenades. Other coal products (i.e. plastic, red/blue circuits, LDS) can be obtained from scrap.
  • Gleba: stone, jellynut, yumako, water.
  • Aquilo: No entry since every pack requires resources you can't get there. Even its own pack requires imports from Fulgora.
