Article for describing how the protection range for lightning rods and lightning collectors works.
Lightning rods, Lightning collectors, and Fulgoran lightning attractors protect an area from lightning. Their protection range is expressed as a radius, but the way the protection range works is not truly radial. The system uses a distance field to determine whether a tile is under lightning protection. This is what the "+ lightning reach" means.
Rods, collectors, and attractors all use the same lightning protection mechanics (as well as power generation; the fulgoran attractor doesn't generate power because it has 0% efficiency). For the purpose of talking about their mechanics as a group, this section will refer to all of them as "lightning attractors" (the prototype name shared by all three items).
