The Blueprint library screen is used to create and share blueprints. It allows the player to import a blueprint from a blueprint string, create a new blueprint book, create a new blueprint, and create a new deconstruction planner. By default, it is accessed by pressing B in-game, or from the minimap.
Multiplayer pane
The left pane is titled "Shared blueprints." Dragging a blueprint or blueprint book to this pane shares the blueprint(s) with other players in a multiplayer game. The filter can be used to quickly find a particular shared blueprint.
Single player pane
The right pane is titled "My blueprints." Dragging a blueprint or blueprint book to this pane makes the blueprints available to the player in other games (single or multiplayer). The search button can be used to quickly find a particular shared blueprint.
Dragging a blueprint book from either pane makes a copy available for use in the player's inventory.
Updates
Each time a change (updating a blueprint or adding a new blueprint) is made to a shared blueprint book, the book must be re-shared, otherwise the old version continues to be shared. To do this:
- In the source game:
- Delete the old book from the blueprint library (right click to open the book and select the garbage can).
- Drag the updated book to the library.
- In the destination game:
- Delete the old book from inventory.
- Drag a copy of the new book from the library.
