:::As far as I can tell the difference lies in the [https://lua-api.factorio.com/latest/prototypes/EntityWithHealthPrototype.html#overkill_fraction overkill_fraction], which you don't account for. Turrets always try to overkill by a certain amount to account for healing and rounding issues. So you might be able to shoot asteroids with fewer rockets, but turrets will send one more rocket than strictly necessary most of the time. However, I assumed the overkill_ratio was 5 % for everything but I checked again and it's actually only 1 % for asteroids, so I'll have to update my math accordingly. | |||

Thresholds wrong?
The damage thresholds are off by one, and I dont know how to fix it. I have a table in google sheets with the correct values up to research level 90 because why not. --Stealthweed (talk) 22:32, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hey, it's more than possible that I messed up the calculations and I would be happy to fix them. Can you link your google sheet here? --Ickputzdirwech (talk) 21:46, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
