Am I correct that even a stack inserter can't put stacks of asteroids on belts, right? They're just 1 at a time, no matter what, right?!? | Am I correct that even a stack inserter can't put stacks of asteroids on belts, right? They're just 1 at a time, no matter what, right?!? | ||
A cargo bay is 4x4. The most chunks you can put on 4x4 of belt is 16, but even a common cargo bay holds 20, whereas a [not all that] rare holds 32, 2x the belt amount. : A single unstacked belt tile can hold 8 items: 4 on each lane. So a 4x4 tile of belts can hold 64. Still more than a legendary cargo bay. [[User:Alfonse|Alfonse]] ([[User talk:Alfonse|talk]]) 17:53, 10 February 2025 (UTC) |

Belts vs cargo bays
Wiki says to use belts vice cargo bays as buffers, due to stack size = 1.
