一次游戏心跳(Tick,或者就叫“心跳”)是六十分之一的{{TransLink|Game-second}}。
 
这是整个游戏的基础,所有事情都会依据该值来计算。比如说任何的速度在内部都是以“{{TransLink|Tile}}/心跳”来表达的。
 
实际情况下一次心跳取决于你的计算机的速度,最快不会小于六十分之一秒(0.01667秒)。如果游戏有停顿(比如自动保存时),或者帧率低于60帧时,一次心跳持续的时间可能会变长。
