How to use mods?
How to install
Using the mods is very easy:
- Download the mod you would like
- You (normally) don't need to unzip them! (Unzipping is optional since v0.10!)
- Copy the mod into the appropriate directory (on Windows:
%appdata%/Roaming/Factorio/Mods
). If the directory doesn't exist, create it. - Run the game
- Open the Mods menu and make sure the mod is enabled (requires restart on changes)
- Enjoy your installed mod
Xterminator has made a video tutorial for that (Windows only).
Location of mods depends on your operating system
Please see into Application Directory to locate the application-path. The mods have to be installed in the "mods" directory.
Note that mods should not be installed into the data folder!
Where to upload mod?
- You can upload mod to Factorio Forums and factoriomods.net
