== How to use mods? ==

=== How to install ===

Using the mods is very easy:

# Download the mod you would like
# You (normally) don't need to unzip them! (Unzipping is optional since v0.10!)
# Copy the mod into the appropriate directory (Windows: <code>%appdata%\Roaming\Factorio\mods</code>, Linux: <code>~/.factorio/mods</code>). If the directory doesn't exist, create it.
# Run the game
# Open the Mods menu and make sure the mod is enabled (requires restart on changes)
# Enjoy your installed mod

Xterminator has made a [https://youtu.be/SEOedyrFQ_g video tutorial for that] (Windows only).

=== Location of mods depends on your operating system ===

Please see into [[Application Directory]] to locate the application-path. The mods have to be installed in the "mods" directory.

Note that mods should '''not''' be installed into the ''data'' folder!
