Assembling machine 2/infobox

The Assembling Machine 2 is an upgraded version of the assembly machine. It can be used for recipes with up to four ingredients, consequently most of the items in the game can be made in it. It is also the first to support the addition of modules to increase the speed or efficiency of production.

It can make recipes that include liquids as one of their ingredients. The input pipe connects to the centre of a side. The pipe will only connect when a recipe that requires a liquid is selected. The pipe starts at the top by default but can be rotated by hovering over it and pressing R.
