	Factorio è un videogioco riguardante l'estrazione di risorse, la progettazione e la costruzione di fabbriche, automatizzazione della produzione e combattimento contro alieni nemici. Tu sei un sopravvissuto di una missione di colonizzazione spaziale andata storta, e ti ritrovi da solo sulla superficie di un pianeta alieno ostile. Senza nulla eccetto le rocce e i minerali grezzi sotto i tuoi piedi, la tua unica speranza di sopravvivenza è di costruire lentamente le tue macchine e industrie automatizzate da zero per produrre l'equipaggiamento e le difese necessarie alla sopravvivenza su questo mondo sconosciuto. Oltre che costruire e mantenere efficacemente la tua armata di macchine, dovrai proteggere la tua fabbrica e te stesso dalle orde di alieni nemici che non vogliono nient'altro che bruciare e saccheggiare le tue sudate costruzioni.
